Slovakia and Serbia to Cooperate on EU Integration Projects

Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Dusan Caplovic and Serbian Economy and Regional Development Minister Mladan Dinkic will hold talks in Backi Petrovac, Serbia on Friday about cooperation in research and development, business, and transfer of technologies. Spokeswomen for the Slovak deputy prime minister Erika Adamova told SITA that the talks would also include support for projects aimed at Serbia's integration in the European Union and other European matters. Mr. Caplovic will attend the Slovak National Days organized by the local Slovak minority in Vojvodina.

On Saturday, he will meet with Serbian education minister for talks about preparations of a new agreement that will replace the current document on bilateral cooperation between the governments of Serbia and the Slovak Republic in culture, education, youth, and sports. He will attend a ceremonial session of the national cultural heritage organization Matica Slovenska in Backi Petrovac. In Novi Sad he will meet with the first deputy chairperson of the executive council in Vojvodina Anna Tomanova Makana, the minister for local self-governments Jan Sabo, and deputy speaker of the parliament in Vojvodina martin Zlocha.
