This May, 528 cars of Kia brand were sold in Slovakia, up 24.2 percent y/y. Kia Motors Sales Slovensko informed that in May, Kia's market share reached 6.46 percent, which lifted the carmaker to the fifth position in the chart of cars sold in Slovakia. In five months of this year, Kia's market share reached 6.1 percent.
The best-selling model was Kia cee'd, of which 268 cars were sold in May in Slovakia. The second best-selling model is Kia Rio with 158 pieces sold followed by SUV Kia Sportage with seventy sold vehicles. Director General of Kia Motors Sales Slovensko Pavel Silha stressed that Kia sales continue developing favorably for the January-May season compared with the same period of last year considerably leaves behind the growth dynamic of the new cars market here.
