Socialna Poistovna Reported Claims for SKK 44.6 Bln. in Late June

The state-run social security provider Socialna Poistovna registered claims from outstanding insurance premiums and contributions for old-age pension saving of nearly SKK 44.6 billion (EUR 1.48 billion) as of June 30 of this year. The report on the company's economic results in the first half of this year, released by the company, shows that this is an increase of SKK 1.63 billion (EUR 54.11 million) compared with the end of 2007. However, compared with the same period a year ago, the volume of company's claims dropped by SKK 1.1 billion (EUR 36.51 million). Five branches of Socialna Poistovna reported a drop in claims, while thirty-three branches reported growth. "The biggest growth was reported by branches in Trencin, of SKK 240.8 million (EUR 7.993 million), up 23.1 percent, and in Bratislava of SKK 232.1 million (EUR 7.704 million), up 5.5 percent y/y," the material states.

The old-age pension fund reported the biggest volume of claims of SKK 23 billion (EUR 763.5 million) at the end of the sixth month. The claims in the disability pension fund amounted to SKK 7.56 billion (EUR 250.9 million) and the sick-leave insurance fund registered claims worth SKK 4.55 billion (EUR 151 million). The unemployment insurance fund had claims of over SKK 4 billion (EUR 132.8 million) and the solidarity reserve fund claims of SKK 1.24 billion (EUR 41.16 million). Socialna Poistovna reported SKK 560 million (EUR 18.59 million) in claims in the guarantee insurance fund and SKK 273.1 million (EUR 9.065 million) in the fund of accident insurance.
