Eurobarometer Survey Shows Slovaks Remain Euro-Optimists

Slovaks remain Euro-optimists. As many as 70 percent of Slovaks think that the country profits on the EU membership, which is one percent above the European average. According to a poll of Eurobarometer that surveyed opinions of EU citizens this autumn people in Slovakia view the next year more optimistic than most Europeans. People in the European Union have still more concerns about the economic situation in their country and their worries are namely associated with inflation. In Slovakia, 29 percent of respondents expect the economic situation to improve, which is the third best result in the whole European Union., said Roman Schonwiesner, the head of the EC Representation to Slovakia. Slovaks see as the most important challenges in the coming year price growth, unemployment and health care, which are the issues on which most EU citizens put focus.
