In nine months of this year, soft drinks producer and distributor Kofola, a.s., Rajecka Lesna, a 100-percent subsidiary of the Czech company Kofola, reported a turnover of SKK 1.254 billion, up 27.1 percent y/y. Total 3Q sales of the Kofola group in central European countries rose to SKK 3.461 billion y/y. According to Kofola Holding financial director Simona Novakova, the results for the three quarters of this year confirm that the companies managed to sustain continual growth because compared with the same period of last year growth represents 15.7 percent. Currently turnover of the Kofola group is almost CZK 3.5 billion but she expects that Christmas will bring positive results. "We believe that we will achieve the level of CZK 4 billion soon," said Ms. Novakova.
Kofola, a.s., Rajecka Lesna, is an affiliation of Czech company Kofola, a.s, Krnov. It has been operating on the Slovak market since 1998, and it has been running its own plant in Slovakia since 2002. Kofola's aggregate investment in the Rajec region is SKK 621.2 million. The parent company exports its products to Hungary, Poland, Croatia, and Slovenia and has over 1,000 people on its payroll. The company Kofola will complete its restructuring process on November 1 when Kofola Holding will be set up seated in Ostrava.
