In Tuesday's two-week sterilization repo tender of the central bank, banks bid SKK 176.532 billion (EUR 5.86 billion). OTP Banka dealer Juraj Mitosinka told SITA that the National Bank of Slovakia accepted all bids at average, maximum and minimum yield of 4.25 percent p.a. Banks deposited SKK 31.117 billion (EUR 1.033 million) in their minimum reserve accounts, thus fulfilling the August requirement at 76.18 percent on a cumulative basis. The dealer further informed that after the settlement of repo tenders on Wednesday, SKK 177.604 billion (EUR 5.895 billion) will return to the sector on outflow of SKK 176.532 billion (EUR 5.86 billion) from the current repo tender. According to Mr. Mitosinka, the market will not report significant liquidity influx after settlement of the repo tenders on Wednesday. "Therefore prices at the short end of the yield curve did not change significantly after announcement of the repo tender results on Tuesday, remaining at 4.15 / 4.3 percent p.a." He added that these prices would probably remain at the same level until next Tuesday.

On Tuesday, overnights and tom/nexts were quoted at 4.15/ 4.3 percent p.a., spot/nexts also at 4.15 / 4.3 percent p.a., one- and two-week deposits were at 4.1/ 4.25 percent p.a. One-, two-, and three-month funds closed at 4.1 /4.3 percent p.a., and six-month funds at 4.3/ 4.5 percent. Nine-month money was quoted at 4.5/4.7 percent p.a. and twelve-month funds were quoted at 4.7/4.9 percent p.a.
