Slovakia's gross foreign debt totaled USD 35.23 billion at the end of March 2007. Compared with February 2007, foreign debt increased 9.5 percent or by over USD 3 billion. The total gross foreign debt per capita was USD 6,549 at the end of March.
Long-term foreign debt increased USD 572.1 million in the monitored period to USD 16.698 billion, on an increase in short-term foreign debt of USD 2.481 billion to USD 18.532 billion.
