The construction of a bypass of Horna Stubna in the Turcianske Teplice district that is part of the R3 dual carriageway should cost SKK 657.2 million (EUR 21.8 million) excluding VAT, said the National Highway Company (NDS). The section should be finished within three years from the day of signing a contract with the selected contractor of construction works. NDS has already announced a public tender to build the Horna Stubna bypass. Interested companies can ask for information dossiers by July 30. The deadline for submitting bids and opening of envelopes with bids is September 4. The criterion for evaluation of bids is the lowest price.
One of the conditions for participation in the tender is documentation of the average annual turnover in 2005-2007 of SKK 600 million (EUR 19.9 million). Bidders should have completed at least one highway or road construction with costs of at least SKK 350 million. Total costs of projects completed in the monitored period should achieve SKK 1.2 billion (EUR 39.8 million). The sums are ex VAT.
