British TI Automotive Plans to Launch Production in Trnava in a Month

Developer of industrial real estate Immo Industry Group (IIG) and its Slovak partner J&T Real Estate handed over a new plant in the Trnava Industrial Park to the British car components supplier TI Automotive three months since the construction start, according to the IIC group. The factory should start producing components for the automotive industry, particularly for car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen plant in Trnava, in August 2008. The new plant will help decrease logistics costs of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group because components made by TI Automotive will no longer have to be imported from the Czech Republic, according to Trnava-based TI Automotive plant director Oliver Garaj.

The company will produce and supply brake lines and brake line bundles for the PSA Peugeot Citroen, the factory of which is located near to the industrial park in the first stage. Later, fuel lines and fuel line bundles for PSA Peugeot Citroen and other car makers based in Slovakia should expand the manufactured portfolio. TI Automotive will start to install the plant's technical equipment on August 4. The launch of production is scheduled for August 11 of this year. The plant on an area of 1,200 square meters will create about fifty jobs.

J&T Real Estate is an important real estate developer in Slovakia and the Czech Republic with broad experience in residential, administrative and hotel projects and logistics parks, in tourism and ski resorts.
