Speaker of Slovakia's Parliament Pavol Paska convened an international conference on parliamentary immunity. The event will take place in Bratislava on Tuesday. The international conference of experts entitled "Perception of Parliamentary Immunity at Present, its Meaning and Context of its Application in Slovakia", aims to present various opinions of experts on the topic with the aim of their subsequent practical application. Conclusions from the event will be used for the needs of the Permanent Commission for the Slovak Constitution and parliamentary order.
The authors of the contributions include, for example, chairman of the mandate and immunity committee of the Austrian Parliament Heribert Donnerbauer, President of the Committee for the Authorizations and President of the Italian Parliamentary Committee Carlo Giovanardi and the People's Party-Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (LS-HZDS) leader Vladimir Meciar.
