The metallurgical company ZSNP, a.s. Ziar nad Hronom, which is primarily specialized in aluminum processing, posted in 2007 a profit of SKK 798 million. The company thus generated a profit for the fourth successive year. Results again confirm that the company's restructuring was successful. The industrial park housing the company's premises employs almost 5,000 people, according to ZSNP Director General Jan Klimko.
ZSNP invested over SKK 74 million into development of manufacturing in its Finalcast and Enevia plants in the monitored period. The company plans to complete the sale of its Enevia division this year and to find a strategic investor also for its last manufacturing unit of Finalcast. ZSNP is one of Slovakia's most important metallurgical companies, specialized in aluminum processing. The private equity group Penta privatized the company in 2002. Penta has over 96 percent of ZSNP shares. ZSNP also manages and provides services in the industrial park, in which its former affiliations operate.
