Alternative Operator Slovanet Reports Q1 EBITDA of SKK 21 Mln.

Operating profit (EBITDA) of alternative telecommunications operator Slovanet grew 7 percent in the first quarter of this year to SKK 21 million, according to preliminary results. PR manager Ivica Hricova informed SITA that total sales rose 19 percent y/y from SKK 129 million in Q1 2006 to SKK 153.5 million this year. Taxed profit of the company amounted to SKK 11 million, up 35 percent y/y. More than SKK 51 percent of the company's total revenues were revenues from the provision of virtual private networks services for corporate clients, organizations and institutions.
Slovanet is Slovakia's biggest alternative provider of Internet access. It also provides telephone services to companies and households.
