The Bratislava Stock Exchange (BCPB) strengthened moderately last week. The official SAX share index firmed by 1.72 points to 405.86 points over the week. The official SAX share index remained unchanged on Monday and weakened by 0.33 points on Tuesday. On Wednesday SAX gained 1.96 points. On Thursday SAX stagnated and on Friday SAX firmed slightly by 0.09 points to 405.86 points.
Out of the SAX base issues VUB bank shares were doing the best. Their closing price firmed by 1.37 percent to SKK 3,700. The closing price of shares of power engineering company SES Tlmace went up by 0.17 percent to SKK 601 w/w. The prices of other SAX base issues did not change and the price of Slovnaft shares thus remained at SKK 3,601, shares of pharmaceutical company Biotika at SKK 380 and OTP Banka at SKK 340.
Turnover on the BCPB last week reached SKK 820.957 million. Of this, anonymous transactions accounted for SKK 4.435 million and share trading was SKK 10.744 million. A week ago turnover was SKK 2.751 billion with anonymous transactions making up SKK 2.909 million. Share trading amounted to SKK 8.609 million.
